To put it mildly, after the trip to El Nido on the bus, I’m bus-resistant. The bus ride to El Nido was torturous. However, based on the advice given to us by Dennis and Emily on the 2Go Ferry and everything we read the way to go to Moalboal is by bus. The price tag for a car is at least 2000 pesos. The bus is 116 pesos per person. Big difference, so the bus wins.

We arrive in Manila slightly ahead of schedule at 6:30 AM rather than 7:30 AM. Since we are arriving in the daylight we get a great view of the fisherman’s shanty town that lines Manila Bay. Before exiting the ferry we speak to the front desk about leaving our luggage somewhere while we explore Manila until check-in time (3:30 PM) for our next 2Go Ferry connection to Cebu at 7:30 PM. A Nice Place to Visit, But I Wouldn’t Want to Live There

The first thing we notice when we arrive in Coron is that it smells like something is burning, but no time for that right now. We need to get situated.
